The first impressions only take a few seconds, but telling people about what makes it so gorgeous takes a bit longer as it is so packed full of beautiful ingredients! So here goes…

Firstly, there is a strong infusion of herbs:

Comfrey (symphytum officinalis) is a wonderful herb for the skin. True to the root of its name, which means “with strength”, comfrey supports the healing and regeneration of the skin. Both the roots and the leaves are used to get the maximum benefits.

Wild pansy (viola tricolor) is included for its soothing and healing properties. It is a herb that is often used in treating eczema and psoriasis.

Plantain (plantago major) is commonly found growing among the grass in Europe. Applied on the skin its expectorant property helps to draw out any infection and gently soothe the skin.

Then there are the oils: olive oil to nourish and soften the skin; jojoba oil to help protect and for the silky feeling it leaves on the skin; and safflower oil with its high omega content to nourish the skin. Plus the essential oils of lavender, geranium and rosemary add a beautiful, herbal scent – as well as further adding to the lotion’s therapeutic benefits.
